Mercury analyzer

RA915M Mercury Analyzer with NEW Pyrolyzer PYRO-915+ is a portable multifunctional atomic absorption spectrometer with Zeeman background correction, which eliminates the effect of interfering impurities. It is the only high sensitivity and selectivity instrument that does not require gold amalgam pre-concentration and subsequent regeneration steps. This enables the user to conduct real time air monitoring and detection of a mercury vapor. Being combined with pyrolysis or cold vapour attachments for liquid and solid sample testing, the instrument can determine mercury content in water, soil, food prodcuts, natural and stack gases, may be used for dental and toxicological applications, etc. RA-915M Mercury Analyzer with new pyrolyzer PYRO-915+ (with large optical length of analytical cell and heated windows of the analytical cell is developed for unique direct mercury determination (no pretreatment procedures required) in complex organic samples at the level of ppb and even sub ppt levels (depending on environmental conditions and attachments used).

Microwave digestion usually takes place in closed vessels under pressures up to 2000 psi. Open vessel digestion methods can reach pressures of over 2500 psi at up to 300 °C.

X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF)

XRF is an analytical method to determine the chemical composition of all kinds of materials. The materials can be in solid, liquid, powder, filtered or other form. XRF can also sometimes be used to determine the thickness and composition of layers and coatings. Applications are very broad and include the metal, cement, oil, polymer, plastic and food industries, along with mining, mineralogy and geology, and environmental analysis of water and waste materials.

High Performance Liquid Chromatograph (HPLC)

Model:  Agilent 1260 Infinity Quaternary. Equiped with autosampler,  Diode Array Detector and automatic switch between four different columns.

High performance liquid chromatography is a step up from column chromatography. It involves the solvent being forced through a column at high pressures to achieve separation in a laboratory setting in less time than traditional methods. HPLC results in better separations, increased accuracy, and sensitivity through a more automated process.

The Agilent 1260 Infinity Quaternary LC is ideally suited for multi-method, high-throughput workflows. It offers:

• Convenient access to four solvents for isocratic or gradient analysis for rapid method development and speed up preparation of mobile phases and flushing the HPLC system.

• Pressure range up to 1200 bar.

Nitrogen Analyser

Model: Du Master D-480 (Buchi). Equiped with autosampler suitable for both liquid and solid samples.

The DuMaster D-480 enables unattended and flexible determination of nitrogen or protein according to the Dumas combustion method. The short analysis time of approximately 4 minutes per sample, coupled with the built-in autosampler accommodating up to 120 samples, makes this instrument perfectly suitable for high throughput without supervision.

Particle Size Analyser

Model: Mastersizer 3000 (Malvern). Equiped with both Hydro and Aero modules for wet and dry analysis, respectivelly.

The Mastersizer 3000 measures particle size using the proven technique of laser diffraction. A particle size distribution is calculated from measurements of the angular intensity of scattered light produced by a sample. The optics required to capture this data lie at the heart of the system. In a new, folded optical design, a blue solid state light source in the Mastersizer 3000 provides resolution in the sub-micron range, resolving materials down to 10nm in size. A rapid data acquisition rate significantly increases the amount of measurement data feeding into the analysis. Analytical reproducibility is improved, and even the most polydisperse samples are characterized accurately.
